Woohoo! (Probably) The most anticipated movie of the year is here! Pre-sale tickets are sold out and people are excited, including me. I had the luck to watch it on the second day after it's released in Indonesia. I also have to try my best to stay away from all the spoilers scattered everywhere in social media. Sadly, I got two spoiler :( Nevertheless, the movie is still very enjoyable, very exciting, and not disappointing at all.
This post contains no spoiler so it's a shorter version of my review. I know how bad it is to get a spoiler when you really hate them, so I'll try my best to not even talk about what to expect, just the general thing that won't affect your anticipation. And if I do talk about any scenes, I'll make sure they're the ones that are already shown in the trailer.
But, because there's a lot that I can't write without including spoiler, I post another one separately with spoiler in it. If you've watched it and want to see my opinion about it, click here

WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT IT?

1. THE ANTICIPATION

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Marvel did a great job creating a new culture of movies, which is this Universe thing. DC and Universal even tried to do the same thing but sadly didn't go well. Marvel, on the other hand, succeeded very well. All started with Iron Man, and thankfully that movie was a huge success. Every other MCU movie that follows aren't all great, but overall, good and lovable enough to make people want to know more. Plus they're all connected in some way, building expectations and interest of the audience. And after 10 years, they all meet here in Infinity War. I mean, who's not excited to see everyone get together and smash things together, right?

2. THE ACTION

It's a superhero movie, so yeah it's all about the action. And as Marvel always do, it's awesome! It's not mainly because of the movements, the punching, and the shooting, we've seen that way too much for the past 10 years. It's because of all the characters fighting together, side by side, using their own, personal, trademark weapon (which are mostly upgraded). That's why it's awesome.

3. EVERYBODY MEETING EVERYBODY

For the last 18 movies, we only get to see a glimpse of a character's or the story's connection with the next movie through the post-credit scene. Now, we finally get to see everyone meeting everyone after all those anticipation. A lot of unexpected mixture of who meets who first and what happens to them next. Everything is put in perfect places with perfect timing, so you won't be disappointed.

4. THE JOKES

Not too much or too lame, just enough to make you laugh once a while and wake you from all the seriousness. And you can guess yourself which characters contribute more to making you laugh.

WHAT'S NOT GOOD ABOUT IT?

So sorry, but I can't talk about this one without giving out spoilers, so I'll skip it :(

WHAT'S SO-SO ABOUT IT?

1. SOME TALKING SCENES

I put it in this section because to be honest, if it's not Infinity War, it might be boring enough for you to not ever watch it again, but the characters save it. I mean, you wouldn't be bored if it's Thor talking to the Guardians of The Galaxy, right? Or Captain America talking to Black Panther? So, if you've been watching all the MCU movies, you won't be bored. But you might realize that this talking has been going on for quite some time and starts to miss the action.

I know it's a very short review, but this is all that I can write without any spoiler or affecting your expectations. I do believe it's a lot better to watch it with a blank mind, meaning no knowledge at all about what to expect. That way, you'll be even more surprised about what kind of emotions you're going to feel during and after the movie. In conclusion for those who are about to watch: it's really awesome and you won't regret it.

Alien: Romulus

"While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonists come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe." -IMdB Title: ALIEN: ROMULUS Year:  2024  Directed By:   Fede Álvarez   Written By:  Fede Álvarez, Rodo Sayagues  Duration:  1h 59m  Genre:  Horror, Sci-fi   Starring:  Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, Aileen Wu  Language:  English  Score:  9/ 10 When the teaser trailer first dropped, it was quite clear this Alien film might just be the breath of fresh air that the franchise needs. It promised horror, it promised suspense, and man, oh man, does it deliver!  WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT IT? 1. BRINGING BACK THE CLASSIC ALIEN GENRE Which is horror in a sci-fi setting. Director Fede Álvarez is a major fan of Alien and he knows very well about what makes the film work in the first place. It was scary and tense,...

The Meg

"After escaping an attack by what he claims was a 70-foot shark, Jonas Taylor must confront his fears to save those trapped in a sunken submersible" -IMDb Title:  THE MEG Year:  2018  Directed By:  Jon Turteltaub   Written By:  Dean Georgaris, Jon Hoeber, Eric Hoeber Duration:  1 hour 53 minutes  Genre: Action, Thriller, Monster Movie   Starring:  Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Ruby Rose, Rainn Wilson  Language:  English  Score:  5/ 10 Originally, I don't want to watch this movie. But because this is the only popular one playing in cinemas that I haven't watched, I eventually did watch it. The Meg is somehow enjoyable but stays in that middle area where it's not good enough to be considered a great movie, but has a chance of falling to the bad-movie-area.  WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT IT? 1. THE SUSPENSE AND JUMPSCARE There is almost no shark movie without suspense and jumpscare. They're like the whole poi...

My 13 Opinions about 13 REASONS WHY Season 1

"Follow the story of teenager Clay Jensen uncovering the truth of thirteen reasons why her classmate and crush Hannah Baker killed herself - through 13 tapes she recorded before she died." Title: 13 REASONS WHY Year: 2017 Season: 1 Developed By: Brian Yorkey Based On: "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher Duration per Episode: about 60 minutes Genre: Drama Starring: Katherine Langford, Dylan Minnette, Christian Navaro, Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn Broadcasted By: Netflix  Language: English Score: 8/10 A lot of you might be wondering why I do this review a year after the series was released. Well, here's my answer: I don't like series. And not just American or British series, every series. Yes, that includes Korean drama. I can't find the fun following people's stories for episodes. Plus, some episodes are bad, some are good, and I can't stand that. There are very few series that I've really watched from the beginning to the end, and I en...
